Temporary Change of Venue for the 10-12 Open Gym

Just so everyone is aware, the high school gym is being resurfaced for the next two weeks. So in light of that, our open gym for grades 10-12 will be held at the STC Middle School. The times are exactly the same.
The dates for the open gyms at the middle school are: Wednesday June 17th, Sunday June 21st, Wednesday June 24th, and Sunday June 28th. After this time, the open gym for grades 10-12 will be back at the high school.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Welcome Players, Parents, and Fans

Greetings! The purpose of this blog is to help keep you informed on the happenings with the South Tama County Basketball Program. As the new coach, I am very excited to get things started here! The purpose of this blog is to help keep everyone informed about what is going on with our program.

I would like to direct every one's attention to the open gym schedules on the right side of the page. These open gyms are critical to the development of our basketball players and are vital to having a successful program year in and year out. I would encourage players to attend as many of these as possible. Parents and fans are also welcome to attend and watch if they would like.

The format for these skill sessions/open gyms is players come in for the first hour and work on fundamental development drills to enhance their individual skills. We work mostly on shooting, ballhandling, and a little bit of passing during this time. The second hour of the skill sessions/open gyms is time for the players to just play or work on whatever they choose.

Please stay tuned to this blog for updates throughout the summer and throughout the season. I am very excited to build a championship level program here at South Tama County.
